As you prepare for State Convention, we’ve gathered some info that will be helpful to have before you arrive!
Here are the three most helpful links to get you prepped for your convention!
Everything you need to know for the Virginia Elementary/Junior Convention!
The Hampton Roads Convention Center presents nearly 4,000 complimentary visitor parking spaces in street-level parking lots immediately adjacent to convention center entrances.
This is for both buses and cars.
Buses will unload at the front doors of the convention center.
Food trucks will also be available during the main dining hours. They can be found just outside of the exit of Hall A.
For our state service project, we will be collecting new and “gently” loved stuffed animals to give to members of the Hampton Police Department to distribute to young children they meet while in the line of duty. There will be a space at the convention center, just outside the ballroom doors, on Friday where all Betas can drop off their new and “gently” loved animals. A representative from the Hampton Police Department will be at the convention center Friday afternoon to pick up our donations. Please encourage your students to contribute!
Can’t make it to the session in person? Livestream it here.
To help ensure an enjoyable experience for all, please note that there are a variety of seating options available in the open areas of the convention center. We encourage you to make the most of any downtime by bringing engaging activities for your students. Consider packing board games, card games, or other small group activities to keep them entertained between competitions and sessions.
