National Beta Partners with Clemson University’s Rutland Institute for Ethics to Develop Senior Beta Ethics Curriculum
National Beta is excited to announce a new partnership with the Rutland Institute for Ethics at Clemson University to develop an innovative ethics curriculum, set to launch in January 2025. This initiative will provide Senior Beta members with a structured framework for understanding and navigating ethical dilemmas with confidence and integrity.
The curriculum, created by ethics experts at the Rutland Institute, will teach students how to analyze real-world challenges using a methodical approach, empowering them to make thoughtful, responsible decisions. This will not only benefit members in their personal and academic lives but also equip them with the critical thinking skills needed for leadership and service.
“We believe this partnership reflects National Beta’s commitment to fostering character and leadership in students,” said Roxanne Johnson, Event Marketing and Sponsorship Manager. “By helping students approach ethical dilemmas systematically, we prepare them for success in both their personal growth and their future professional roles.”
As part of this collaboration, Senior Beta members are invited to participate in Clemson University’s Ina B. Durham Annual High School Ethics Case Competition. This competition, to be held in person on Clemson’s campus March 7, 2025 as well as virtually March 28, 2025, challenges students to apply their knowledge to complex ethical scenarios, offering a hands-on experience that complements the new curriculum. Interested members should visit www.clemson.edu/ethics/programs/highschoolcasecompetition for more information.
National Beta and the Rutland Institute for Ethics look forward to launching this curriculum in January and encouraging students to take part in shaping a more ethical and thoughtful future.
