National Beta was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris in South Carolina. He founded the organization on the pillars of achievement, character, leadership, and service. In honor of our National Founder, we invite clubs to celebrate our motto, “Let Us Lead by Serving Others” on Founder’s Day. We encourage all National Betas to make service a priority, not just today but every day.

Founder’s Day 2023 Recap
The theme for the 2023 Founder’s Day was “Make Today Count.” Check out the amazing ways our Beta members served by using #FoundersDay23.
Each year, we highlight our top three favorite projects:
- North Marshall Middle School collaborated with the Bed Ministry, crafting seven beds for children in need across Kentucky. Additionally, they demonstrated their commitment to the environment by picking up litter around their school.
- Global Leadership Academy contributed to the green cause by planting trees with Tree Atlanta.
- Randolph Early College High School organized Socktober, a successful initiative that resulted in the collection of an impressive 14,320 pairs of socks.
Save the date for next year’s Founder’s Day on October 25, 2024. Our theme will be announced in August 2024. We look forward to celebrating more impactful projects with our Beta community!
