National Beta was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris in South Carolina. He founded the organization on the pillars of achievement, character, leadership, and service. In honor of our National Founder, we invite clubs to celebrate our motto, “Let Us Lead by Serving Others” on Founder’s Day. We encourage all National Betas to make service a priority, not just today but every day.

How it Works
Discover ways for your Beta Club to serve your community. Consider activities such as planting shrubs, serving meals, sending get-well cards to hospital patients, organizing a food drive, preparing care packages for troops overseas, performing random acts of kindness, and much more. Check out our Service Idea Guide for a list of donation-based, event-based, and activity-based service projects.
Founder’s Day 2024 Recap
We were so excited to see so many Betas leaving their mark on their communities during Founder’s Day 2024. Check out some pictures of the service projects completed by Betas! Plus, this year we held a special contest! Based on submissions via our hashtag #FoundersDay24, we selected our three favorite service projects and gift the winners a Beta Shop gift card.
Please join us in congratulating our Founder’s Day 2024 winners!
